Meet the Nifty team

Andrew has been with Nifty since the beginning, starting as our Managing Director all the way back in 2016, having developed years of experience in finance and credit assessment beforehand. Andrew believes in a hands-on approach to leadership and is determined to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to innovation and technology in personal finance. 

What is your favourite animal and why? Without question, it would be dogs, Labradors specifically, as they can have unconditional love and loyalty for people.

What is the one thing you cannot live without and why? My Apple AirPods. Time is always short, but having my AirPods allows me to be able to connect with people no matter what I’m doing.

Ryan has been the Underwriting Manager at Nifty Finance for nearly 5 years. He is responsible for the end-to-end loan assessment process and ensuring that Nifty is compliant and adheres to its obligations as a responsible lender. 

What is your favourite animal and why? My favourite animal is my dog Stella because she can speak like a human.

What is the one thing you cannot live without and why? I cannot live without Sushi, because it‘s delicious!

Ashleigh has been the Credit Control Manager at Nifty since October 2021, having spent the last 5 years working as Collections Officer and Hardship Team Leader at another finance company. She’s spent nearly 15 years in customer-focused roles in the industry overall, including at Allianz and Cash Converters.

Her main duty involves overseeing inbound customer inquiries and ensuring customers can repay their loans in a timely manner. 

What is your favourite animal and why? I have many but baby Elephants are just too cute!

What is the one thing you cannot live without and why? I can’t live without my family and friends because they keep me grounded.

Juliette has been in her role as Credit Control Team Leader since October 2021. She is responsible for ensuring the customers that apply through Nifty are able to service their loans and manages Nifty’s team of dedicated assessors. 

Prior to her role at Nifty, Juliette had spent several years working as a sales associate and then a store manager at a women’s shoe company, so she knows what makes customers tick.

What is your favourite animal and why? Tough question! Miniature goats are very cute. but I like any animal that has a personality.

What is the one thing you cannot live without and why? I can’t live without my phone because it keeps me connected to my friends and family.

As Nifty’s Senior Credit Assessment Officer, the buck stops with Jared: he’s responsible for Nifty’s end-to-end credit assessments on all applications and ensuring our processes are compliant and timely. He’s been in this role since February 2021, after moving to Nifty from another finance company. 

What is your favourite animal and why? I would say my favourite animal would be Tigers because they are so majestic!

What is the one thing you cannot live without and why? Definitely food. Besides the obvious reason of it keeping me alive, I love to cook new recipes at home and find new favourites!

John has been with Nifty for five years, first as a Customer Service Officer and now in his current role of Credit Assessment Officer. In fact, Nifty was John’s first full-time workplace, as he was a university student prior to his time here! 

As Credit Assessment Officer, John’s primary responsibility is to assess customer loan applications and determine if they’re eligible for a loan with Nifty. 

What is your favourite animal and why? I think I’d have to say dogs, because who doesn’t like dogs.

What is the one thing you cannot live without and why? My best mate, Kev. He makes me laugh.
